SEARCH has a long history of engaging with Native American Tribes and Tribal Nations. Our staff have led or participated in all aspects of tribal engagement, including government-to-government tribal consultation. We promote meaningful and informative dialogue between our clients and Native American Tribes and Tribal Nations to build trust, reduce potential conflict, and align projects with relevant requirements. Early, frequent, and meaningful engagement is critical to managing potential conflicts and maintaining collaborative working relationships. Our approach to tribal relations is not simply to “check a box,” but to establish equitable discourse that promotes goodwill for our clients and benefits project delivery while balancing tribal interests.
