Mike joined SEARCH in 2010. He is responsible for business development, strategy, growth, and media operations.
A terrestrial and maritime archaeologist by training, Mike has extensive experience navigating cultural resource regulations at federal, state, and local levels. He earned his master's degree in Anthropology from Florida State University.
Mike joined James Cameron’s RMS Titanic expedition in 2005 for the Last Mysteries of the Titanic documentary (Discovery Channel) and he has hosted his own television series—Secret Worlds with Michael Arbuthnot (Travel Channel and PBS), FOUND (History Channel), and America’s Lost Vikings (Science Channel). He is also a Fellow in the Explorers Club.
Mike lives in Florida, but can occasionally be found in the mountains of North Carolina.
