Transportation

Dedicated staff with nationwide experience and state expertise.

SEARCH has completed more than 1,000 transportation projects across 10 US states and territories. State, municipal, and territorial transportation departments have awarded us over 100 multi-year (on-call) cultural resource services contracts, including more than 20 as Prime ($25M+ in capacity) and more than 80 as a Team member ($780M+ in capacity).

Our staff provides the full range of cultural resource studies in support of highway (new roads, road widening, bridge replacement, storm water ponds), rail (new rail lines, station renovations), and airport (runway extension and new facility construction) projects. We have a dedicated team of transportation specialists who provide high-quality work and, as appropriate, leverage cutting-edge approaches to assist our clients in navigating Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA), the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), Section 303/4(f) evaluations in compliance with the USDOT Act of 1966, and other environmental and preservation regulations.
